CHARACTERISTIC 5919 is a low carbon low alloy steel with tensile strength 780-1,060 N/mm2 (After Heat Treatment), Available for case hardening by carburizing (Surface hardness 58-60 HRC, Core hardness 25-32 HRC)
APPLICATION Structural parts requiring good wear resistant surface and a very tough core e.g. stems, shafts, axles, connecting rods, crank shafts, pinion gears and machinery parts.
CHARACTERISTIC Steel grade ST 52-3 N is a low carbon, high strength structural steel which can be readily welded to other weldable steel. With its low carbon equivalent, it possesses good cold-forming properties. The bar is supplied in normalized or control-rolled condition .
APPLICATION Machinery parts which weldable steels are needed, mobile equipment, crane, boom, chassis, anchor bolts, connecting rod, bridges and most structural activities.
CHARACTERISTIC 4130HT It is a general purpose high tensile steel applicable for all structural parts requiring medium to high mechanical strength. It is weldable, but because of its fairly high harden ability, preheating and postheating must be used.
APPLICATION Machinery structure and motion transmission parts like valves, stems, shafts, axles, connecting rods, crankshafts, pinions, gears, etc. Suitable for parts, which need both high strength and possibly to weld.
CHARACTERISTIC AISI 4145 is low alloy steel containing 0.20% Molybdenum that is widely used particularly throughout oil patch applications. Similar 4140 which has a lower carbon level it has improved hardenability and is more is commonly used in the higher strength ≥110 KSI 0.2% PS condition.
Larger diameters are often supplied with higher molybdenum level, 0.45% max and may be referred to as a Drill Collar analysis. The hardenability limitations of this grade(depth to which it will harden/ obtain the specified mechanical properties after heat treatment must always be taken into account when designing and selecting equipment.
APPLICATION Structural parts of high strength components, cog wheels, pinions, axle arms, connecting rods, axle arbors, gear components, crankshafts, turbine components, etc.
CHARACTERISTIC 4340HT is a hardened and tempered high tensile steel, about 280-360 HB with tensile strength of 900-1,400 N/mm2. Available for full or case hardening induction higher hardenability than any other grade.
APPLICATION High stress crank shafts, connecting, rods, axles, tubine, rotors and die holder.
CHARACTERISTIC K4006 is basic chromium grade of stainless steel. It combines excellent corrosion resistance with the ability to develop hardness and mechanical properties by conventional heat treating method.
APPLICATION For applications requiring good mechanical properties and involving corrosive conditions that are not too severe,such as valve parts, cutlery, food industry, pump rods and pistons etc.
CHARACTERISTIC K4548 It is stainless steel that passed solution treated and tempered twice at temperature of 1150 F (327 C). The nickel in 17-4 pH increases its notch toughness, even in low temperature service. Combination of Ni and Cr results in corrosion and chemical resistant properties.
APPLICATION High strength components in H S and CO service. Ex, valves, stems, pistons,etc.
