Shape forging
Shape forging
Shape forging is hot forging, which is a metal forming process that works in high temperatures. In order for the metal to be plastic and easily change shape, we can forge the metal into the shape that we define.
There are many types of hot forging, but they can be divided into 2 main types as follows
- Open Die Forging is the forging of metal between two molds that do not have a specific shape, using compression from a forging machine or hydraulic pump. Freestanding forgings are used for the production of large work pieces such as shafts, rods, valves, and steel bars.
- Closed Die Forging is the forging of metal between two molds of a specific shape, using compression from a forging machine or hydraulic pump. Die forging is used to produce small, complex parts such as screws, nuts, and small gears.
We provide independent forging services, and we also offer another type of ring-rolled forging.
